Bought this lens to wander around cities and have a bit more fov than the amazing 50mm F1.2 that I also own. Definitely lives up to the GMaster badging. Its fast but not too bulky, and it actually works amazingly for mid range portraits too. A great buy.

It is really amazing lens - great colours, incredibly sharp optics, a fantastic fast prime that will help you nail the shot in the lowest of light, diversifiable for wide and close-ups, dedicated aperture ring, the only flaw is it is a bit slow autofocus performance in low light...still solid performance for normal light...ideal for semi-pro and pro videos and general cinematic look . Exceptional quality - get one now!

Realmente me encantó el lente, es excelente en todos los aspectos, principalmente porque tiene una nitidez superior, muy versatil para todo, para retratos, para paisajes, para foto callejera. Además es F1.4 lo que hace que sea muy luminoso...

Distancia focal muy polivalente, muy luminoso, peso contenido (500gr) Como fallo el Focus breathing de Los vídeos que a mí particularmente no me molestas mucho y creo que pueden solucionar con alguna actualización futura

Venia de tener el 35 1.2 de Canon y estaba encantado. Al cambiar a Sony me faltaba un objetivo con esta calidad y no decir del tamaño. Al final lo llevo siempre puesto en l aRIV y son unos compañeros fantasticos.

Bought the FE 35mm f1.4 GM to go with my Sony A7R4, hesitated over the price but it's worth every penny & certainly warrants the G Master badge, brilliant piece of kit. The build quality is excellent, sharpness even wide open is superb & close focus range (around 10") is very useful. Focusing is fast, accurate & smooth, f1.4 is great in low light, bokeh is dreamy & at 524g it's not heavy - makes a great pairing with the A7R4 & is a go to lens. Using the APSC functionality on the camera allows me to use this lens at 1.5 crop factor giving me 52.5mm eq focal length which is a massive bonus (this is a camera feature not lens feature). Switching the aperture ring click per stop on or off is a nice feature, personally I prefer the clicks. Lens hood is more robust than many with a decent locking attachment meaning it can't accidently be knocked off, you have to press a button on the hood to release it. I'd highly recommend this lens, it's fab!

I bought this a week and a half ago and have tried it out in my home, out in the fields, woods and a wedding. I am so impressed by it. It is really sharp even at f1.4 and the bokeh is gorgeous! I also like that you can adjust the aperture on the lens itself. And the focus range is pretty close so you can get almost macro-level shots.

Los colores que se logran con este lente son muy genuinos, la luminosidad es notable y sostiene esa calidad aun cropeando. Gran lente, muy rapido, muy comodo y no tan caro.

Excelente lente calidad óptica y terminaciones, por ser un 35mm f1.4 no es tan voluminoso.

Brilliant lens that can be used for everything. Got rid of my zoom and will use the lens all the time. Fantastic

Soy fotógrafo hace 15 años y tuve lentes fijos tope de gama toda mi carrera, y de muchas marcas diferentes. Cuando compre el 35mm 1.4 GM de Sony no me imagine nunca que sería tan nitido siendo tan pequeño y liviano. El sistema de Eye AF en f1.4 hace que el 90% de tus fotos esten en foco perfecto. Lo único que no recomiendo es usar el autofoco en video para tomas en trípode ya que el "Focus Breath" es exageradamente enorme y hace que si el personaje se adelanta o se aleja mientras interactua a camara el fondo se mueve como si respirara y arruina horas de material. Para fotografía un 10/10 para video un 4/10 en autofoco .

Optical it is excellent. That covers boka, sharpness, distortion on a A7R4. It is light and uses just 67mm filter size. One lens went into the water for one second on a rafting tour. It fogged up in few minutes and went back for repair. Conclusion Sony's foot note above is very correct and serious. Perhaps such a short event shows that this lens isn't dust resistant. Long term use requires to keep lens and camera totally away from the elements. For this GM top of the line lens that is very restrictive to its professional use. For home use it is outstanding in optical quality and recommended. For professional use it has insufficient dust and water resistance. That explains my rating.

En términos generales es excelente creo su unico contra es el tema del focus breathing que en mi caso no es algo importante por lo demás es rápido para enfocar, sumamente nítido de esquina a esquina, controla muy bien los flares y las aberraciones cromáticas en cuestión de peso y tamaño para mí es ideal, tiene muy buena construcción y materiales, me dedico a hacer retrato, social, deporte y producto y se ha comportado a la altura, si es una de sus distancias focales preferidas vale la pena la inversión

Only had this lens few days. well pleased with it. Does just what i was hoping for. Plenty of Bokeh and very sharp images. Great separation image to background on portraits

This lens is top of the line , optical quality is superb, retains saturation of color particularly in the sky because of the nano coating used, simply put this is the best 35mm 1.4 on the market

Llevo mes y medio con el objetivo y estoy absolutamente enamorado. Me encanta la ligereza, la nitidez desde maxima apertura, la ausencia de aberraciones cromaticas, el contraste a contraluz y la resistencia a los flares. Bravo sony!!

Inservible para video si se hacen cambios de foco.
